So...I'm wondering...since I got a near peak allowance filly, who isn't fit...and I don't know what division to race her in...would it be better if I just retired her to breeding, rather than waste weeks figuring out what she is, only to have her maybe win a maiden special before year's end?

"This horse looks to be about at their peak, but even I can’t always predict the future!"
So, I'm guessing that about at their peak means peak then?

Re: How did your Dyck turn out?
That means it is Peak. Doesn't mean it is not possible to improve because peaks do improve, but likely not.
However you paid money for it, you have 13 weeks to get fit, equipped and during that you might figure out what surface/distance it is.
Also might get a few races in and make a little bit of the purchase price back, at least enough to cover the 10K BSA fee.
Unless you are just too overwhelmed with all the other horses in your barn and won't have time, i can't find anything negative about making the effort to race her.

Re: How did your Dyck turn out?
OK...I appreciate the advice...I think I'll get her ready and see what happens. I have a paltry 161 horses...only 100 runners, so I don't think my barn will ever be overwhelming. Underwhelming, maybe...

I’d run her, otherwise you’ll be totally confused as to who you should breed her to because you won’t know what her best surface/distance is.
