With both horses winning Grade 1's today and exactly 4 weeks laying until the Steward's Cup races they likely will have time to squeak in one more prep at Week 14 Day 5. If both trainers wanted to aim for that race date for a final prep we could get the match race suggest by Em. But I don't know the plans for Brianna and Karl. So while they could have other ideas I still want to get it out there that I want a match race, does anyone else want one.

Might be a longshot, but I wonder if they'd be open to a big match race in lieu of the Steward's Cup. Probably not, and the SC would be the big match up between them anyway, but it's a thought!

They will not actually run vs each other In Stewards cup . Clearly Karl horse is better at 7 and bri horse is better at 6 so expect her to be In Vs the boys .

Some here are like a fun vacuums. And, it sucks.
Anyone daring to do something different in the game that is fun to them...gets knocked for it.
For example, me continuing to run Roughian - how dare I! Tsk tsk!
And, now this match race.

I will never understand that kind of outlook on things, especially when someone else's fun doesn't affect anything in the big scheme of things for others in the game.

I agree Stormy and you know what you should put up the let’s say 2mill and sponsor the race week 14 say 6.5 for them ! Prove these certain types this game is fun. Can even call it the Roughian stakes or maybe the “Someone has to be second stakes”

I would do it In a heart beat. Right horse, right matchup. Something for fun, 250k each win takes all. Maybe more if I was feeling frisky and the bank account was . It’s no different than running a tough prep 2 weeks before or betting a million on a coin flip in chat room.

I think Xander makes a good point though, it’s probably more fun for these players to have a chance at winning a SC race than winning a match race (unless the money for the match race was somehow huge). It’s a cool idea but this close to the end of the season, it’s mostly self-sabotage. If I was in either trainer’s position I would most certainly say no to a match race right now.
