I had to test the GP thing out for myself... so naturally I did it for Creator of Worlds

Y58-Preseason Trainer: 'Creator of Worlds': Freaky! This horse looks to be a late bloomer. You should bring him along carefully.
7 years old and this horse still thinks he is a Late Bloomer.
I guess he just never wants to retire.

This is why I wish stallions could have their careers be at jeopardy of ending a bit further out, based upon when they retired, and not just at age 14. Like, let a horse who races past the age of 6, be allowed 2 extra years as a stud to make up for it. I just hate having to pull a good horse off the track when there is still a lot left in the tank.Randell Johnson wrote: ↑3 years ago I had to test the GP thing out for myself... so naturally I did it for Creator of Worlds

The mares...with a few exceptions, and depending on how they are doing, I will retire at the end of their 4th or 5th year.
BTW: I tested Roughian and as I expected, she has dropped to Allowance. But I still think she can make some money or even win some stake races this year... they won't be in those upper level Grade 1 races, but I think she might still be able to do well against the females, and in Grade II races perhaps. I'm glad though that I didn't have to gallop her to find out. She's a somewhat unsound and it's been hard to find time between races in her career to give her a gallop now and then.

No one is forcing you to pull a good horse off the track to stand at stud. You just are earning racing income on them instead of stud income..Stormy Peak wrote: ↑3 years agoThis is why I wish stallions could have their careers be at jeopardy of ending a bit further out, based upon when they retired, and not just at age 14. I’m wondering if that’s a glitch? I’ve never seen a horse not peak by age 4, could be worth asking the Admin team.Randell Johnson wrote: ↑3 years ago I had to test the GP thing out for myself... so naturally I did it for Creator of Worlds

I've had a few people ask me this week about 5yos that haven't jumped yet, too. They will, eventually!

Re: New Comment
Speaking of gallop comments. I know that even if a horse has room to grow (late bloomer or progressive), there is no gurantee they will jump a gallop rating. I was wondering though. If they do improve, is it always just one level or can it be more? For example, a solid jumping to allowance or stakes?

Re: New Comment
There are definitely a few examples of solids and even claimers jumping to stakes and freaks. Rogue is one (she was solid as a yearling.) That predates these recent improve comments by many years, though.Eric Gray wrote: ↑3 years ago Speaking of gallop comments. Re: New Comment
I think he means if the horse's bloom comment says Late Bloomer is it possible for it to jump multiple comments. I am also curious if that's possible, or if multi comment jumps are just tied to the random improvements and the late bloomer will only improve within it's comment (low stakes to high stakes) or just jump one commentLaura Smith wrote: ↑3 years agoThere are definitely a few examples of solids and even claimers jumping to stakes and freaks. Re: New Comment
I’m not . The comment was made in “semi” jest. As you can see, I didn’t back her down. The only problem will be if she gets smoked, is it because she’s losing it a little or because of the insane competition.Pepper Carol wrote: ↑3 years agodont change the type of race based on a comment. change it based on the performance.
