Ended up with 138 yearlings, compared to 73 last year.

7 stakes up from 2 last year (Thanos stew bred, Franzia, 2x Clark Kent, Follow Your Fate, Syer Line, Happens Overnight)

Allowance numbers took a big hit, but had a big jump in productive, most of which are late bloomers. Can't complain too much with the jump in stakes horses, though!

I sent a bunch of those mares I can never get rid of but can never justify spending a stud fee on (well-bred with poor BSA comments) to my old boy Steelheart and he got a stakes out of one of them. She's a 13yo "Good/Unpredictable" mare, out of an old Gr. 1-winning Stewbred mare I had, who'd never been bred from before. She lived, so she might get another go next year.

My $11m stewbred purchase produced my other stakes TB this year (for three from 25 foals). I'd obviously like better from her, but her last few haven't galloped that well so it could be worse.
Ollie Wolf says you're welcome! :D 8-) and thanks at the same time!

I am in my 24th SIM year ... and I bred my very first Freak. So, you should feel VERY proud about those stats.

I bred more this year hoping to hit some good slides, but instead it seems like I got way more slides the other way and actually ended up with a weaker crop than several of my smaller recent crops

out of my homebred thoroughbreds:

1 Freak
5 Stakes
10 Allowance
25 Productive
22 Solid
15 Claimer
2 Different Career (both Chase prospects)

Edited to add: On the other hand, I did get one slide of the type I really wanted. Catcat, out of Silver Tabby Cat and a formidable mare, 3x3 to Nyan Cat, is a Stakes progressive (and literally my only homebred stakes turf router yearling)

I was so happy to see that Traitor's Gate gave you a stakes, congrats! :)

From 50 flat TBs I got:
1 Freak <3 and this late bloomer stakes filly I really love.
2 stakes colts by World of Color& Danon Premium
9 allowance
bunch of productives and solids
19 claimers (ouch :? )

Overall I'm so much happier than last year. There were still a lot of really disappointing results from stakes winning blue hens/ stars and since my horses never make big jumps I guess they'll stay that way. But oh well, I'll just keep marveling at Home We'll Go and ignore the rest, lol

I am super super pleased with my first crop of 40 foals!

My final count was
6 x Stakes (one from my in house stud who'd never had a stakes before!)
6 x Allowance
14 x Productive
4 x Solid
10 x Claimer
Faking it till I make it, and then faking it some more.

1 Productive (Late Bloomer) Thunderhorse

Yes it's a small crop, however, No claimers or different career for once!

Mixed results, but I did fine:

My TBS yearling is a freak: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1330687

I bred one freak: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1349274 (the mare is formidable and has thrown 2 freaks in a row, 3 total)

5 stakes late bloomers (Almandin, Avada Kedavra, Conquerer, Dragonfly, Gladiator)
2 stakes peak (Ransack, Super)
1 stakes progressive (There There There)

Most of my stakes were random slides, and a lot of the foals I had hopes for failed really bad lol. For example, I have a colt out of one of the best TM mares ever by one of the best TM studs ever, and he is productive progressive. https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1327085
