Barrier Trials
Other than seeing the head to head aspect - is there a benefit to racing against horses vs solo in a barrier trial for the horse?

Re: Barrier Trials
Not sure it exactly answers my question, but I'll assume it means there is no difference - thanks!

Re: Barrier Trials
Well I think the benefits can be several
apart from your horse getting a better experience, you can see the leading mid running style, etc.
You can also see if he can defeat other horses according to his quality, but that is better noticed when they can all be from the same division
sometimes if it is a router it will participate with milleros, and sprinter according to the chosen furlongs
I think it would also be very good to show the SF to have how fast his training was
surely there will be much more benefits but that is what I can perceive
regards

The major and huge benefit is that your horse gets full confidence back no matter how they finish.

And you can check equip and get an experience bump if I understand correctly. I've used it with horses struggling to get through the next allowance condition with good results.

Re: Barrier Trials
To get back to your original question I am pretty sure you still get all the benefits of a barrier trial even if no one else enters a horse against youRobert Mcg wrote: ↑3 years ago Other than seeing the head to head aspect - is there a benefit to racing against horses vs solo in a barrier trial for the horse?

Re: Barrier Trials
Wouldn't it be nice if the barrier trail filter was turned off by default instead of having to do it manually for 2,000 horses as opposed to turning it on for a half dozen horses?
Just a minor gripe.

Re: Barrier Trials
Just one question, I thought barrier trials increase fitness without the sacrifice of getting tired like other exercises.. But the vet says my horse is quite tired and the horse hasn't exercised otherwise in well over a week.. ? and with 200$ shipping wasn't supposed to increase fatigue either

Re: Barrier Trials
Barrer Trials are supposed to be situated somewhere between a workout and a race in terms of tiredness.RNB Stables wrote: ↑3 years ago Just one question, I thought barrier trials increase fitness without the sacrifice of getting tired like other exercises..
