Re: Why did Trent McEvoy leave?
And then I find out that one of the players I really liked who left out of the blue a few years ago was in on it. He was someone I talked to a LOT in chat late at night since I worked nights. Helped pass the time, we talked Aussie racing etc. When he dropped off the planet I was actually worried something bad had happened to him. Now I feel like an idiot. "James Ryan" if you see this you are an A-hole and I hope you stub your little toe on your coffee table!

They are the single dumbest kamikaze animal that god ever dropped on the poor unsuspecting planet. Their hobbies are writing off cars and running under horses even if they weren’t heading at all in that direction initially. 90% of my falls from horses in the last 10 years have been thanks to idiot wallabies. I would cheerfully murder every single one of them. Even if they are cute.Shannon Hunt wrote: ↑3 years agoAre wallaby plagues an issue in Australia? I probably helped the cheating scum several times thanks to my tendency to believe people are genuine and my lack of time to investigate otherwise.

Re: Why did Trent McEvoy leave?
I can see how they would be annoying. I got to feed some on my visit, little rock wallabies. I have pictures...sort of. That is, I was young and thin and cute back then, and asked the Australian guy that drove me out there to take the pics for me on my camera whilst I bent over to feed them. Somehow, the center of the frame never quite seems to be the wallaby?!? Oh well.Cleo Patra wrote: ↑3 years agoThey are the single dumbest kamikaze animal that god ever dropped on the poor unsuspecting planet. I'm so happy this has finally been acknowledged and hopefully sorted!! Now some more transparency in horse history and I have little to complain about that isn't totally my own doing.
I would like to know how and or who perpetrated this scam, was it a hack of some sort,a veteran player acting the bollox or as somebody else mentioned someone continuously resetting to new player status
I apologize if 'b----x" offends anyone it just fits exactly my preferred theory
Anyway hope this is an end to it

Re: Why did Trent McEvoy leave?
I feel like there was a person doing this when I was new also. Both times.
In all honesty I did previously play years and years ago under a different name. I fell away from the game and everything dispersed. By the time I came back my horses were all dead or pensioned. I let the stew know I was back and under a different name when I signed up again. I started back from scratch. I didn't get any active racers or breeders back, most of my bloodlines had even died out. I came back as a new player to a game that had changed a good bit. A good crazy bit. I started completely over from scratch. I also didn't run around begging for help, horses, or money. I didn't want to play under my old name because it is a legal version of my name. I use a family surname and my middle name. I was also a low level player then and am now. my balance is usually laughable and my horses tend to run backwards ridden by drunk jockeys.

That being said, wow.. I cannot wrap my mind about wanting to be a new member forever. Unless they had beef with the game for some reason? Maybe a bad first time playing or got in trouble. I feel bad for all of the new members that had to compete with a non-new member for years Especially those that missed out on the New Trainer Simmy.

Nena and RNB summarize how I feel. What's the point?

the only explanation I could really think of is that maybe he lacks control in his real day to day so being able to look forward to winning somewhere is his coping mechanism? idk, i dont really care to speculate but thats my thoughtsKarl Smythe wrote: ↑3 years agoI couldn't imagine having fun by starting over again and again.Nena and RNB summarize how I feel. Re: Why did Trent McEvoy leave?
im hearing this abit about other players Harassing others, damn if someone tried that on me id be hunting them into next week, i don't usually get involved with drama but overpowering players i don't tolerate and if its advice u asked for but didn't like the answer then put ya big girl/boy panties on and move on from that, thats my 10 cents worth for the year,

Re: Why did Trent McEvoy leave?
Whoa, this sucks! Although, part of me is like... Maybe the culture of helping new players with horses/money isn't actually that helpful? I was at trial park with James Ryan and Rochelle and I've been poor ever since because of their gift horses (ok, that's an exaggeration, it's mostly my own play skills) I did have one gift horse and I didn't look him in the mouth at all but he was an allowance and no stakes winner.
I feel like if people don't have time, or are in the wrong timezone to chat and socialise as much, they're at a major disadvantage. Ok, maybe the game is better if everyone chats and socialises? But I feel like especially as a new player you might feel unconfident or it might just not be your style. I think introverts can be as much of an asset to the game or at least have a chance of turning into a more talkative player once they settle in.
Yes help in terms of advice and problem solving for new players is hugely valuable but every good horse you give a new player takes money away unfairly from another new player who might go bankrupt and leave. Not to mention the beneficiary might be a cheat account Let the new people learn to shop for and claim horses and then compete with each other on their actual game play merits - it'll lead to a more knowledgeable play style later on with breeding and training and taking care of horses.
