After a short break, I drew this little filly today.

This is Practical Magic, a Gladiator filly out of a Mr. White Sock's mare leased to me by Nini Hunter. The mare, I should tell you, is a granddaughter of Why You Dream (Dam to Kingdom Come). I am excited to see how this filly turns out this Festivus, hopefully she gallops well!

Despite it not being thursday, heres a little art I did today

So after a few weeks of reflection, I decided that I was unhappy with my previous artwork for my colt The Red Viper, so I took a little time, sat down, and drew this fullbody artwork of him that I feel he deserves after becoming the fifth fastest paint yearling of all time over a 350 yard workout with a time of 17:69 seconds. I feel this art definitely represents how I see him in my head far better than the first one did!

Did some artwork of Astro, a colt I've been campaigning for Danny this season. He will be going to the Marathon on friday, and after winning a G2 prep race I felt he deserved some nice artwork of his own.

Last night I was itching to draw and I wasn't quite sure what horse to draw esp w the festivus still a little ways off! Well, I still had the foal I'd bred earlier on my mind so I decided to draw her! This little filly is by brand new stud For Ev Er, and is out of Y51 SC Filly & Mare Turf Mile Runner Up Merry And Bright. Fingers are crossed that this unnamed filly inherits her mother and fathers great genetics!

update: The filly, now named Everclear, galloped productive with LB improvement. Hopefully she blooms!

It's not thursday but here is a drawing I did of my lovely stakes yearling Beware The Ides. With her pedigree I'm very hopeful of her future on the track next season when she is 2. SC filly turf dash to follow in her dam's hoofsteps perhaps?

All of those are very pretty.
Beauxbaton, is really really pretty...but does look like she needs some works...I'm not saying she's fat....lol...but just a little on the chunky side. :D

haha she's definitely a little chunky! I just wasn't sure how to draw a more toned physique from that angle yet, and plus she is currently very unfit so i guess it works!

I've been a little lazy and hadn't done much drawing recently but finally got up the motivation to doodle one of my stakes yearlings, so,
this is Oracle! She's by metacrisis and out of a Be Prepared mare. Fingers crossed she's a fast one!

It's taken me a while to figure what your drawings reminded me of...and it's finally dawned on me.

When I was a kid back in the early/mid 1960s into the early 1970s. We had these 'viewers' (Viewmaster toy) where you stuck round discs into them, then looked threw the viewer at the pictures on the discs - clicking down on a lever to see the next picture.
Often those photos had blurry backgrounds with the subject matter in lovely detail in the foreground - and that is what a lot of your photos remind me of : )

What a wonderful assessment stormy- and I so agree! I used to play w Viewmasters all the time and who knows maybe it inspired my work without me even realizing it haha
