For some reason I am so pleased that the Steward has written more than an cameo appearance about Mike Eaton in Part 1. Mike and I joined the SIM two weeks apart in 2007. I was already a 60 year old trying to fit into a game dominated by twenty somethings and Mike was a 14 year old trying to do the same. Mike wasn't always received well by the other players (a bit full of himself) and not treated too kindly at times, did I mention he was 14? If I remember correctly (and it's getting harder to remember correctly) I tried to impart some of my sage wisdom to Mike over the years. Mike hung in there, has played the game well for an owner with a smaller stable (26 total right now), won some big races, bred some nice horses and has two of his four three year olds in the Louisville Derby. Our careers are very similar and I applaud Mike for hanging in there and enjoying this great game.
