Interesting Inbreeding

Post by Emily Mitchell »

I sometimes try crosses/inbreeding just to see what happens.

This one didn't turn out so swell as he's a claimer LOL but I have this noted as "interesting inbreeding"

Anyone have something you've bred/seen you want to share?

Anyone have highly successful horses that are inbred (within first 4 generations)?

She's not had a chance to run yet...and is listed as a productive late bloomer

Fighting Authority

Two Toned x Forethought are the parents of both the the dam, and the sire's dam thus making them full sisters.
So all the mares in this pedigree come from the same foundation dam, Foremost. : )

Edited to correct something... I should have said...'both the top and bottom distaff line mares in the pedigree...'
-- rather than 'all' the mares' -- since there are other non-Foremost line mares in the pedigree, the dams of some of the other sires.

I'm hoping she becomes highly successful but right now Star Crossed Lover is a stakes winner that is bred 3x2 to My Heart of Hearts.
Superbia --> SC Winning Stud from the My Heart of Hearts dynasty --> 40,000 fee
Quetzalcoatl --> G1 winner, Son of SC winner Luxuria, 20,000 fee
Filled With Pride --> G1 winner, Son of SC winner Superbia, 20,000 fee
