How About This Rivalry

Post by Melissa Mae »

I think I'm in the most fun "rivalry" I've been in my 15 RL years in this game ... Lightout vs. Time Bomb. The pair have been fighting it out since Year 56's London Derby with eight match-ups so far - they've finished 1-2 five times and 1-3 one other time (that coming in the London Derby).

I always groan a bit when seeing him on the entries because I know Time Bomb is usually going to make Lightout work a bit harder than I want him to but it's still fun to check the results and see who got to the wire first. It looks like our next match up is in the Arc in three week's time, which is always my favorite race of the year so it'll be extra fun since I think Time Bomb is better this year than he was last (not to mention all the other beasts who usually show up).

I love your attitude towards this, because of course mine is, "Why won't one of them leave the circuit?!"

I'm no fun ;-)

I Love rivalries. : )

Love them more when my horse is the one that wins more often...lol...but even if not....I still think they are fun.

RL trainers won't let their horses face each other so we have to make up for it with fake horses.

Eh, even if my horse lost every match up it'd be fun.

My first really big horse is part of a rivalry and I would have to disagree! It’s no fun, no fun at all 🤣

Knowing you have a great horse that is evenly matched with another great horse is a ton of fun - it's why I kept Olive running against Clockwork

I am just now seeing this. Nice to see Lightout get that Euro season ending Gr. 1 win! Meanwhile Time Bomb bombed, as they are fond of saying, across the pond in the SC without his running buddy. But it's okay. I see Lightout is still racing. Cool. Best wishes. It was a super fun rivalry, jX
