I have a total of 7 'Foremost line' fillies in G1 races this week.
2 will be in the Bunburette: Fire On High and Rumble of Thunder
2 in the Filly and Mare Turf: Extreme Ways and Rumors
1 in tonight's Los Campeones Turf: Rihanna
1 in South Africa's Champion's Vase: Outlawed -- Roughian's full sister
Roughian's finishing out her career in Asia, the Arima Kinen
Black Tears, owned by Leigh Ann Anderson won the race by 3 1/2 lengths, Congrats Leigh Ann : )
The next 3 finishers were tightly grouped.
Rihanna finished 2nd, by a nose, over Amy Bahama's 7 year old horse, Take By Storm, and he in turn, finished a nose over the 4th place horse, the 4 year old colt, Luminary owned by Danny Derby.
Rihanna was retired after the race, (she peaked early last year as a stakes quality horse).
The agent said that she's now a Blue Hen mare. Yay!
SC Week has started out pretty well for me.
