Does the Sim have a loser switch?
Because I think my stable flipped it on a couple weeks ago for some reason.
My results since week 14 Monday: 30: 3-3-8 Win: 10% OTB: 47%
Up until that point I was something like 35% win and 70% OTB, so it feels like my horses just decided to stop winning en masse, as if the Sim itself said "lol you're bad now have fun buddy"
Hoping that Friday is a little better, but I'm not optimistic at this point

I've had weeks like that, Brian. Hopefully yours will end soon.
Actually, I had like a 3 year slump once...no major stake winners at all.

I've been hit with the loser stick hard since Week 15 flipped on, expecting the worst tomorrow.

Em, sometime after reading this and seeing the Friday results:
I have a stable full of cats
Re: Does the Sim have a loser switch?
What I know as the control subject in this experiment is: the looser switch is real.
Reasons for flipping the looser switch on include:
excessive use of colons in Forum posts
texting Emily on her phone asking why your horses stink
thinking your horse poop don't stink
posting stats in Friday night chat at 9:01
not utilizing all of the tools in the SIM toolbox
walking the shed row before a race/not walking the shed row before a race
using the font color in posts, especially red
willy-nilly entering
nilly-willy breeding
Reasons for flipping off include: (is this the same thing?)
buying $183 worth of Game Points on a non-game point day
silence
random acts of kindness
using one's words to express one's self
utilizing all the tools in the SIM toolbox
logging off SIM to read a book
saying Hello in chat
reducing the number of horses in your stable
"when you give you begin to live"
giving in to the fact that the SIM reality that Random Rules and you have No Control
All in Fun, jX

Re: Does the Sim have a loser switch?
Ive started strong many years and limped home like that, I think it has to do with rest and travel and giving horses a chance to recoup after a losing streak, etc.. I'm never sure about this but it seems like no one formula for it works, every horse is a bit different and Ive just been a bit more conservative about it and it seems to help.

Can’t you just tighten it?Jon Xett wrote: ↑2 years ago What I know as the control subject in this experiment is: the looser switch is real.

Re: Does the Sim have a loser switch?
Gavin, thanks. I am now singing and dancing to: Archie Bell & The Drells' -classic song, "Tighten Up" (1968). This may not tighten up the switch so that it stays on the positive up side, but I feel so much better now. jX
