Re: Versatility surprises
I have used this some but not too much of the simple reason I dont like spending things that are uncertain and if i find out my horse is versatile that will make me uncertain
if I knew what that versatility was then i would probably use it lots more but i do get the fact that one shouldnt make things too easy either

Delicate Situation just upgraded to Freak as a 5yo and looks like he is Versatile. He is sired by Avada Kedavra and out of my Easy On the Eyes mare, Delicate.

Pretty sure you will find some TM talent in both Anabaa and Omaha Beach, however, despite the fact I did initially spend a bunch on the versatility button BEFORE I read the steward's post, your horse may not have been versatile when you tried a mile last season.
I am of the opinion that the check is a GP drain based on this statement:
My take on this is really simple. Versatility on a single horse can come and go at ANY time. The paid for comment tells nothing concrete (less useful than Haku telling me on one check my horses legs are fine, before the follow up telling me the horses legs are iffy and it needs bandages) and you may spend longer trying to figure out the "versatile where" than the horse itself remains versatile and in the interim, that non versatile horse by from the same mare will suddenly be versatile.Versatility depends on the horse's ability right then, and can come and go. If your horse is AT PEAK, they are more likely to be versatile than at any other time in their career. You can check the horse as a yearling, and the answer may be different when the horse is four and in their prime.

Must be the Adorn line because my 4yo Adorn (dam of Delicate) filly is also versatile.Louise Bayou wrote: ↑2 years agoSo miler then? Re: Versatility surprises
I wouldn't agree with ANY time, it's not like right now vs. an hour from now. Definitely changes with blooming/talent jumps and drops, for instance, your horse is not at peak, and thus not at top flight in any thing, the algorithm wouldn't recommend trying different stuff. Once the horse peaks/jumps up, suddenly it's a lot faster and worth trying at more things because they've gone more talented across all categories. But that's every 8 weeks it can change, not like, today v. tomorrow.Kaine Saracen wrote: ↑2 years ago

Does versatile always mean another flat division or is it inclusive of chasing ability?

Re: Versatility surprises
Star I See Tonight - https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1254989 - has frustrated me - I did figure out she could do TM as well as TR before I could check and did show "versatile"- and now I'm wondering bout AWM and/or AWR as well? Thoughts?
I'm just here for the fun of it
