A Question for Ronnie Dee

Post by The Steward »

I've been meaning to ask this for ages.

In real life a couple weeks ago, a 7-horse field finished in post position order, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7. What are the odds/probability?

As a general math idiot how do ! work in fractions? Googling it told my dumb brain that 0.02% works out to 1/5000 and I have no idea how to make that conversion over to 1/7! lmao

7! = 7*6*5*4*3*2*1 = 5040
