Yearling Workouts?

Post by Kent Saunders »

I had thought you weren't supposed to work them before the last races of the week 4 which would be the barrier trials later today. But quite a few folks have done works and none have been injured. In addition to that, starting yesterday there are no longer any warnings when you bring up the horses to work/gallop etc.... Bottom line, can we safely work yearlings now?

I've been doing them Week 4 day 6 for many years now and barrier trials (and Saturday racing) hasn't affected this.
