gif...where the cartoon guy starts slamming his head onto his desk until there's nothing left but a stub on his neck ?
After I looked at my results night tonight...I can understand that kind of frustration
Fridays are usually the night I get my best results...more often than not, earning between $65,000 to $120,000 and usually running between 15 to 30 horses.
I ran 17 horses tonight -- 3 were in stake races.
The combined earnings of the 17 runners was a whopping $7,200.
My best finish was a 3rd in a 2 yr old filly maiden race with 5 competitors in that race.
Given the decent quality of the horses I have in my barn, and the quality of those running tonight - I don't think I've had a worse results night than this since like Year 25 ---Ok, I might be exaggerating there, but it's been so long I just can't remember such horrible results.
I doubt they even earned enough to pay the shipping to and from the track
Rant over.
---
Ok...this eases the hurt a little bit...
I just retired one of my stakes winning horses tonight. I probably should have done it last year.
Outlawed
She's Roughian's full sister, and the agent just told me she's a Blue Hen type broodmare : )
After a night like this...I know it could have turned out Much Worse.

That is brutal Stormy
I’ve been having a pretty rough year of my horses running kinda wishy washy, but tonight I had the best night in quite a while
Including Dash wining another G1, first one since W4 of last year
My newly freaky DS colt Covert running a 92 in his first stakes
Hopelessly Devoted running a 93 as a 5yo in a G3, so glad I didn’t retire her last year! She still has heart left

Re: :( Ever See that...
Congrats on your results : )
Love that your 5 year old mare did well. I do love to run my horses more than I love retiring and breeding them. I hope she can finish out her season winning or at least earning money in some more graded races for you. I have a fondness for older racers, especially the mares.
I am looking forward to the week 10 two year old turf router races....especially my filly Malcontent. Just hope I'm not setting myself up for some heartbreak there. I also have Tuck Everlasting, a colt, that might end up being pretty good. *crossing my fingers*

Re: :( Ever See that...
I had something similar back on Week 6.
Week 6 Day 5 Asia - 5: 0-1-1 Win-0.0% OTB-40.0%
Week 6 Day 5 Europe - 7: 1-2-1 Win-14.3% OTB-57.1%
Week 6 Day 5 - 34: 0-2-4 Win-0.0% OTB-17.6%
Week 6 Day 6 - 13: 0-1-4 Win-0.0% OTB-38.5%
Combined - 59: 1-6-10 Win-1.69% OTB 28.81%
Things turned around quickly though. I won over 30% of my races on Week 7 Day 1

Given what I got... I would have loved to have awesome stats like that last night....Garret Folsom wrote: ↑2 years ago ..............Combined - 59: 1-6-10 Win-1.69% OTB 28.81%

Ya got a win percentage and a double digit OTB percentage...cool
My Stats:
17: 0-0-1 Win - 0.0% OTB - 5.9% TOTAL: $7,200
I do hope what Kelly L. Haggerty said comes true, "...that it's bound to pick up...."
Monday I have my fillies, Malcontent and Pagan running in the first stakes race of the season for 2 year old turf routers -- The First Route Ladies Stakes
Ditto for my colt, Tuck Everlasting Who's running in the The First Route Men Stakes
Malcontent is a Freak late bloomer, Pagan is a Stakes peak and Tuck Everlasting is a Freak progressive.
Before last night I was thinking...They had as good of a chance as any to win or make money in their first starts...but now, I thinking I need to run in a barrier race to get My confidence back up...lol
There ya go Sim...another way to make GPs...barrier races for the stable owners. I know in real life, jockey foot races always drew nice crowds.
