Festivus is around the corner…

Post by Nick Gilmore »

And who are you dying to train? Of all of your precious babies who are you convinced is THE one?

For me, it’s Summer in Sidney. She a half sibling to multiple graded winner Drakensberg and a rocking yearling who’s showing some awesome works. Of course now that I’ve bragged on her, she’s bound to be a claimer, lol.

I'm going to list two, because the foal I am most excited about is a Steward Bred...
Gadot by Castles Crumble and out of the incomparable Ring Leader! I loved that 3x3 Man Of Mystery cross!

Now, the "Me Bred" that I am most excited for is my Full Sister to this year's Steward's Cup Juvenile Fillies winner!

This one I guess for durn TBs. The dam ticked me off and I retired her in rage ...... and walla a blue hen. So with advise from the chatroom I bred her to World of Color. That being said I am sure this filly will gallop claimer.
I need supervision 24/7.

Honestly I leased a ton of pretty things this year and I have zero hope for any of them, especially after my very meh festivus last year. Or maybe that’s just my depressive funk I’ve been in talking.

https://www.simhorseracing.com//horse.p ... ID=1434600 (similar breeding conceptually to Rathalos)

https://www.simhorseracing.com//horse.p ... ID=1450727 (craziest turf pedigree I've ever bred)

I'll def be up for Festivus, easier for me since it's midnight for me

I will be; can't sleep until I know how happy I should be lmao

Second Chance is my big hope, I'm still shocked her dam made it to 17 before she pensioned. I'm very emotional over her.

BSB's Full Sister will either be a freak or a claimer imo, Sim gods will either be kind or laugh at my pain

I have stayed up every time, but don't think I will this time. My niece is getting married Saturday, and I will be driving back and forth
Friday and Saturday from here to Cincinnati and back. I will need a little rest time and I guess Saturday morning is early enough to know that all 153 of my foals are disappointments, lol.

Roughian's 2nd foal is a filly...and she will be a yearling at the turn of the year.

Her 1st foal is a colt, Billy Jack He's rated as a stakes progressive - and I must say I Hate the Long Wait until 2 year old routers can start racing!

Given that pedigree line usually produces better fillies than males, I must admit I have high hopes for Roughian's first filly.
Both of her foals are by Nightmarch.

I will wake up at 8 am. Make myself some coffee. Give free access to the surf pad to the son all day, saying that mum and dad will be very busy today.

At 9.45 am I will mass gallop them all in frustration. Finish my cold coffee and go for a nice walk with the family.
