Two Small Things

Post by The Steward »

I'd like to keep going on this thread, the other one is overwhelming and confusing.

Things we added this weekend:
-"Improve" drop down filter added to barns
-"End of lease" notifications can be turned off
"There's no secret to training a good horse. It's a matter of being fortunate enough to get one."
"Funny how you often regret the stuff you didn't do more than the stuff you did do" - GG

Can we please have the categories adjusted in the ranking page so we can separate out stats between normal TB horses and steeplechasers?

My suggestion is separate them between "TB FLAT" & "TB CHASE".

When I am viewing player rankings for TB FLAT horses I am unable to sort out all the trainers running chasers and it causes the rankings to not appear accurate according to what I am trying to view. If they were categorized in the rankings books/pages between the two it would make things easier.

I would like to be able to set the horse type when breeding a foal. It would be much quicker than going through the babies one by one if I could just set the type there with a drop-down or at least a checkbox to inherit the dam's type.

Copy pasting this one cause ☺️

I’m not sure the reasoning behind foals being named horse #

But it would be kinda fun if they were name [YY] [Dam Name] kinda like real life?

So for example this filly would be born “60 More In Love”

Just silly fun, not game changing or anything 🤪

I'd love it if the news feed could be decluttered so that only horses where the $50,000 fee is paid to become a stallion show up on the feed as retired. If you look at the news feed right now, there's a ton of retired horses in the feed, but the majority of them are then promptly pensioned. It makes it hard to find the real news, including things like a stallion has only 72 hours left for breeding before pensioning, when a trainer mass batches a bunch of horses for retirement.

Maybe the News Feed page can have tabs
- one for retirement
- one for death
- one for milestones
- one for 72 hours
- one for headshots
- one for bets.
- etc

For someone who doesn't recognize a lot the stallions for type could the sales page include specific type in the breed column (i.e. TB-DR, TB-TS etc.)? We could then search or sort on that column if we are looking specifically for that kind of runner/broodmare/stallion. It would be great for auctions too. If no type has been set then "NA".

Would love to be able to search the stud book for stallions with multiple types listed.
