A horse is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Someone will gamble more money on a late bloomer for the chance it improves .01 or more because that could be the difference between that next level or not. As a guy that breeds hundred on horses in each division every year I can say the number of horses that reach freak value after improving are substantially less than the number of improvers that never change comment, let alone the number that move up 1.
Value is subjective and objective. What is the man with the money willing to gamble for this? To say this Stakes late bloomer horse is the same value as its current Freak counterpart, goes against objective reasoning. Not just For Sale, but trade value as well and valuations for mare swaps as by foal production. I don't know where it falls on the scale or how much it will jump from at .01 to 1, but the numbers suggest lesser and averages say that it will not be enough to change comments. Furthermore, it'll probably under perform. That is just a Pessimistic disposition on my part, but one that seems to be shared by other breeders of larger numbers. Because we see it, every day, week, season, year after year.

Last year I won a G2 with an allowance peak TR
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1347767 and I have seen a range of results from improvers, but not yet a "double jump" or one that becomes a superstar. There are always exceptions to a rule and I don't think that was Danny's point. He is merely stating that nothing is guaranteed.
One of the first things I was asked by a vet when I got here was which division I wanted to try. Maybe there should be a newbie article about the divisions and the difficulty level of each, although perhaps that is somewhat subjective. Also, I don't know if any one player could write the article if most barns specialize. I see a lot of DR and Chaser disposal auctions and it always makes me wonder if they would have had a better experience if they had tried starting in an easier spot.
For Kelly's viewing pleasures, I present my humble brags and great strokes of luck. The ever elusive double improvers to stardom.

Well...maybe they're only stars in my barn; but they're not bums and they are fun.
