Between Y56 and Y59 my horses were winning on average 10 G1s a year. In the last two years I’ve won 2…total 😳

It sucks being in the low, especially when life is being bleh and you just want something for happiness 😅 I have all my hopeful joy pegged on my LB boy Nyx, no one else in my racing barn has any hope 🤪

You know I’m always here to chat ❤️

I have never met my expectations in this game. I keep looking to improve every year. My stock seems to be better and the horses I feel can't do, I quit racing them. What do I have to show for it? The exact same stats every year. I have learned to just shrug my shoulders and move on. I would go crazy otherwise. I'm never going to be a top trainer. I have excepted that. The sun will come up tomorrow.

We all have some lousy years:
58 303 : 74-63-58 Win-24.4% OTB-64.4% 18 1 21 22 $2,543,180
57 285 : 77-50-50 Win-27.0% OTB-62.1% 24 3 15 16 $2,813,670

- year 57 only ended up that good because Laura F helped me out about 10 weeks that year while I was traveling; year 58 I only had 18 stakes wins out of 303 starts and over half of those were sponsored. A lot of the OTB's were allowance runners dropped to low level claimers

Then year 60 came along and I have several freaky freaks (and they're not always consistent) and things are better - until the next downturn I'll ride my trainer's high. I went years without a homebred freak and then had three in one crop. Keep your stars, cut everyone else so you're not wasting time on horses that only frustrate you and hold on for a couple of Sim Years until things turn around.
I'm just here for the fun of it

...BUT...I still love looking forward to each results night and holding onto the hope that I'll find that barn-making super horse.

Appreciate the encouragement, guys, but I think it's time for a step back. I've put up a big chunk of my mares and racers for lease for the rest of the year. Not looking to get much out of the racers since there'll be only 6 weeks left for them to run, but hopefully they can go make some money for someone for not a lot of investment.

I'll still be around to run my pacers and paints, since those two strings in general make me fairly happy. There are a few of the more "special" TBs that I may lease out privately or may still run, I'm still undecided on those.
