5 furlongs in 0:57.94 - I'd say it's a decent horse for DR. Probably has a shot at breaking its maiden around 3-4 years old.

I honestly wouldn't have paid 1/2 that price Craig. It's rare for stakes colts to achieve much in the DR game

I personally hate everything about thoroughbreds in this game. They are horrifically overpriced. Breeding is overpriced. And they race for all the money while racing chasers and harness race for peanuts by comparison. They are too erratic for my tastes and I can't afford the gas so I avoid them as much as possible. To each his own but for a million bucks, you probably got slickered. I hope it works out for you.

For the record the horse was worked unfit and without the right equipment, just part of mass workouts to make sure they had the two required works.

Yeah I would expect a stakes horse to have a faster time if fit and correct equip, just pointing out that a horse may not need equip so can’t always assume a no equip workout isn’t with right equip.
