Re: Roughian lease auction
UPDATE ON HER LAST TWO FOALS.
~Her un-named 2 year filly's status changed with the adjusted gallop, from a stakes to an allowance, but still a late bloomer.
~Her yearling filly had her first gallop.
Her 4 foals:
Billy Jack - colt, stakes progressive.
In The Air Tonight, filly, stakes progressive
Un-named 2 year old filly, stakes late bloomer: The adjusted gallop has changed her to an allowance
Her 4th foal, a yearling filly by Phenomenal One:
After her first gallop, her comment suggested: I wouldn't bother insuring her right now - she is a late bloomer.
On Roughian's page, she is showing as a claimer, late bloomer.

Re: Roughian lease auction
I didn't have time to mention this when I made the above update. But I saw something interesting in that lease post.
In my post, at the bottom, I put an asterisk in front of a sentence -- to highlight that my old turf router came in 2nd in a Grade II turf mile race.
*At age 6, as a fun experiment I ran her in a Grade 2 Turf Mile race...she finished 2nd. Not bad for an old turf router. : )
It wasn't suppose to be a follow up on anything else, as no other sentence in the above post had an asterisk....
....or so I thought.
On her list of 1st place finishes.. I saw this near the bottom of that list:
Valley Station Stakes (G3)
* To Be Real Stakes (G3)
First Route Ladies (non-graded stakes)
And my first thought was... That wasn't the mile stakes race she was in.
My second thought was....and I don't recall putting an asterisk there.
It took me about a minute to figure it out.
The Sim censor bot censored this horse's name in the stakes named after her...
The * To Be Real stakes
This is the mare:

But that race on Roughian's page shows why the censor bot kicked in, I had typed the race name exactly as I saw it.

Re: Roughian lease auction
UPDATE On Her Yearling Filly...comment from 2nd gallop added:
~Yearling filly by Phenomenal One. Claimer, late bloomer.
***1st Gallop: I wouldn't bother insuring her right now
***2nd Gallop: Courageous, brave, bold, and ready to fight… I'm really impressed with 61 Roughian's heart!
I am hopeful that the 2nd gallop comment might be an indication that this filly will jump up into something nicer in a not too distant future.
Also...all of you bidding on Roughian...you are making my heart thump pretty good.
I was nervous about putting her down at a reserve of $2 Million...thought that it might be a little high.
I'm so humbled by the respect you are showing Roughian with the bidding.
Thank You so much.
