My SF 95 allowance filly
No, this puzzles me too much, I just have to write something about it.
I have this 3 yo TR filly. She galloped allowance late bloomer this pre season. And in her 5th race she wins a stakes with a 95 speed figure.
So that was kind of shocking, fun and weird.
I guess she must still be an allowance, no random jump at this random point..? (I just had to check talant against better knowledge, confirmed allowance LB). I know of one other case of allowance spitting a crazy figure (hi Gwen and that Lanark filly! ).
Please comment and explain things to me! Do horses outshine themselfs like this once in a while? Once and never again? Is it heart or luck? Normal after the gallop adjustments? Have you had horses do that, and were did they end up?
This is the fastest TB flat I've seen in my barn...faster than any of my freaks...

Re: My SF 95 allowance filly
Hi Ma;
SF are weird at times. In real life, at least, and as yo know there are many variables - they aren't universal. I think this is mirrored in the SIm some as a horse that produces a 97 in a G2 doesnt mean it is ready to do the same in g1 company. I know this all may sound obvious and apologies if it may sound pious. I, at least, have had nice sf to be allergic to better company.
Without pars it would be almost impossible to verify a transferable SF into higher company or even differing tracks.
I am uncertain how the sim calculates these or how it sets the pars, not to mention, what I would assume are random generated track variants for the times at distance.
It certainly isn't a bad sign, but I would be willing to bet this horse improves to stakes and may would bet this at 1-9! as for what happened to the improve comment...that would seemingly be more difficult to say with any confidence, but I have had a freak that has seemingly peaked at 91 in a g3 but if he were to win a g1 miraculously, I would be that sf jumps even with a similar time.
It is not a bad sign, that's for sure
and that's my 2 cents!
Good luck with her and maybe she can take on the boys for bigger purses!
John

Re: My SF 95 allowance filly
Thanks Shannon and John! I can't say I understand a lot about SF other than faster times gives higher SFs. Understand even less about them when it comes to real life racing, lol. For now I view this as a one-off, but still hope for a shiny future.
