The answer was blinkers!!....well, I would just had to race 3 more times to test if b only; sr only; or tt only...maybe that hb, after all it's only 0.01 slower

Sometimes you just have to spend 500 game points. If my first setup isn't correct after the first race, I just bite the bullet. With the workouts and the one piece of equipment confirmed I'd say I'm getting it right at 99.44% for the second race. And some really old timers will remember the "99.44 One Hundred Percent Pure" slogan!

I been doing blank equipment on the 1st workout, IMO the 1st workout seems risky to use being it's the horses 1st ever workout

often they are not fit yet on the first works, so going back and re-working on the 1st piece is helpful - especially if the times are close

Must be because they are so young. Mine say fully fit and then I give them a work with their gallop confirmed piece or nothing, then for their second work it's blinkers. Almost always leaves me guessing.

Echoing voices of others in this thread; he wasn't fit when he started working out which means the first few workouts are slower than they'd otherwise be. The workout difference between the equipment combinations you've suggested are too small over 5f, which makes me think neither of them are correct.

The time he went with blinkers relative the one he went with ear muffs while still being unfit is suspect. I would try blinkers before sending him out. Based on what he does, you could go with only blinkers, or to combine it with F8.
