Re: Preserverance
Congrats on the win : )
I have a 9 year old maiden...still brings in enough money to cover his costs.
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1176546
He's never run in a claiming race, always had to battle it out with, often, younger horses still looking to move up the 'Non-winner' ladder.
~In his notes I wrote this: Allow to run year 58.
He peaked at age 5....and I kind of thought he wouldn't earn enough age age 6 to cover his costs.
Gotta love those 'perseverance' types. I see, though that you pensioned your guy....probably for the best as he would have had to move up into a harder tier with the Non-winner of 2 races"
For my guy, this will be his last season, he's earning some funds, but has definitely slowed up. I'm happy with the amount he's earned life time too...given that he didn't compete in claimers which probably would have made it closer to his talent level.
