Favorite Foal Name So Far

Post by Stormy Peak »

I often don't name my foals until they are yearlings and I see their gallop...but there are exceptions...
So far, this one is my favorite:

Cops Not Impressed --> The Full Monty x Impressive Tequila, by I've Been Impressed

It's even more funny, in my opinion, given his size :o (He's a quarter horse !!! )

I really hope he will be a stakes or a freak. His sire is top notch and his dam is a Blue Hen, who has produced a stakes type, but it was never raced ?

Do you have a foal name you really love?

This year I've been naming foals as soon as I think of a name (Naming them as yearlings and 2yo's was the worst thing ever these last couple years). So I have a lot to choose from. My favorite, however, has to be Taterface. I have better bred animals, but I'm openly rooting for him because his name makes me laugh every time I see it. I don't remember where I saw the name first, but I do know that I immediately bred him to use it.

I've barely named yearlings, I'll be bolder with naming this crop once gallops hit and I know who I want to put pretty (or terrible) names on.

These kids kind of named themselves though.

I was proud of myself for this name, but it almost certainly will just be on this horse as a way to hang on to the name until I get a good horse to put it on https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1611867

She's not a foal, but has the best name I've ever given.

I have one like that - Fightflamewithfire and Army Inferno have one called My Parents' Names, since...the names are essentially the same

Not a foal but I saw this mare's name and decided to check her heart. Giant Guts is courageous, bold, brave and ready to fight! Nice
