I agree with Ma. I thought we'd had a discussion on this back in the day. The Steward can leave the preferred name in the notes section, and can add any other notes she may want to as well. I don't think anyone had a problem with that.

With all the cash being spent on the Steward bread horses what is another 5k to change name if you don't like it?
Out of the Gate Early its Let's Go to the Mall and Do Some Shopping, followed by Baby Crying, then we have Are we there Yet!! :roll:

The drama was that the names were perceived as giving a hint as to the "best" horses. So, it isn't an issue of changing the name. I would love to second the motion, but I think it would stir up more drama than it is worth.

Tbf we the people are guilty of stirring up drama for lesser reasons. Id like to see Emily enjoy doing this rather than just hurry through them to be over with it for another year. Throwing them out like scrap to the dogs

I don't know Vicki (Johnson), What do you think about this with our plethora of Stewardbreds!? The one I do have, I wouldn't have cared to pay the 5k to rename it or been offended of any recommended names or notes...

Now, I will go look if there are any horse I can nominate to the saudi cup!
