insurance

It used to be that steward breds were automatically insured - is this not the case anymore? (The one I picked up in the most recent auction - now named Asp- was not insured)
I'm just here for the fun of it

The one I got in last sim year's TBS yearling auction was insured, I am pretty sure when I got him from the auction.

SB's have not been insured for at least 3 seasons. Laura almost always posts a reminder about it right after a batch of auctions.

My yearling was insured right when I got him, but my guess is that Em insures the ones she breeds mid season but not the ones she breeds end of season because she has no time and patience to click insure.

I think the select auction horses are insured, but not the 'riff-raff' in the regular yearling auctions. ?

The filly I bought out of the select auction was not insured. They all used to be insured, then it went to none of them being insured, and I'd describe what is happening now is that the TBS horses that are leased are normally insured, as well as some of the TBS horses bred earlier in the season, probably to keep them safe from random injury. The majority are bred over the break, and those tend to not be insured.

Mine was not insured, he was bred W12 last year. I think it's a good thing not to insure them, help pull more SIM$ out of the game which is desperately needed right now.
