I would think the lack of headshots is directly related to the threshold change in gallops. Fewer freaks, fewer headshots. I know personally the horse will have to be very special on the track or in the shed to get a headshot if it is a stakes galloper. I headshot almost all freaks.

I was lining one up for one horse I have, but he was just 3rd to a 3 year old filly, so I’m guessing he will probably be better without one.

I agree with the probable causation related to gallop changes, at least for the youngsters. But I wouldn’t know, Ive never had one!

“No good deed goes unpunished!” The good deed here being adjusting the gallops for better accuracy, hopefully…

As for me, if this were a card table, I’d be whingeing about needing some cards to play!

In other words, their combined records would equal a horse deserving of a portrait.

For me, the headshot was the path into the weekly newsletter to increase the publicity and make cash. Removal of that negates the desire to pay $30 for a picture that legally we pay for, but don't actually own.

Sorry. The headshots are great. I have bought a couple in my time. I also buy GP's from time to time but I use them for game play items. I'm retired on a fixed income and headshots are a luxury that is just not in the budget anymore.

Didn't mean to turn this into a panic that there are less orders than normal. This was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time in history since 2006 that we were at no orders. But now there are almost 30 orders, so we're good again!
