I was starting to 2 yr old routers this evening, and was pleasantly surprised to see this 2 yr old filly go from Stakes/LB to Freak/Peak.
Super happy about that, as her dam was a rare lease. Now, here is hoping she runs well!

she is up for 3 year lease, break maiden and earn foal 35K, breed first foal.

My gamble paid off. I picked up a son of Diabolical X off the AJ page for $5,000. He was claimer peak, and ran like it his first three starts. The 2yo colt just improved to freak.

And, Darcy is correct. There's always a chance a horse can improve, despite being listed as "peak."

My Ivor stakes galloping late bloomer, Be So Reckless jumped to freak as a mid-year 3yo, and actually won his next race lol. I'm shocked, that never happens for me but I guess he ran twice as a 3yo so he wasn't as unfit as my horses usually are.
