Two year old routers

Post by Shannon Hunt »

This is a fun week and I am excited :) Please accept this invitation to wax poetic about your router kids who may or may not be debuting soon.

It's the best week!! My group of two year olds this season is so nice... It's both terrifying and exciting to finally run them!

This gal believes that she's all that. She just went from stakes LB to stakes peak before her last BT https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1551646

And maybe this bargain basement Stewie feels like he has something to prove https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1599387

Don't want to jinx the nice ones I'm running later this week by posting here, but I have been lucky enough to get a winner already

I currently have 3 two yr old winners and I’m hoping that changes this week, lol. Routers truly make this a game of patience.

Best of luck to all!

I've only had one of my 2yo routers run so far but she was fortunate enough to win. It made me happy since she's also one of my favourites - being a daughter of one my favourite broodmares (Mezzanine), and looking just like her paternal grandmother (Philadelphia). 4x4 to California too. I don't think that's so common anymore?

I don't know about collecting SC points, and I was going to be cynical to avoid disappointment, but nah I'm excited and I'm still going to be happy about them even if they end up running poorly because I have sentimental attachment to digital horses with a pretty gallop label on them.

Pygalgia (Christopher Robin - Just A Moment) is first post-adjustment DR freak I'll be running, so I imagine I will be dragging his sorry backside through the TCT just to say I've had that experience lol

And I have a little pile of pleasant-looking TR kids-
As The Crow Flies (Dissimulation - Take By Storm)
Black Smoke (Dissimulation - King of Ashes)
On Fire (Still Fire - Brilliance)

Four black horses, so either my trainer is adopting a Matrix aesthetic and is The One, or we're putting together a matching funeral cortège for what's about to happen to my stats this week. We'll see!

Not a DR or TR, but an AWR I am excited about. She was a Stakes/LB that went to Freak/Peak this year. I am excited and hopeful she will run very well.

I am excited to see how this DR filly will run, and hoping for an excellent broodmare one day. I'm a bit nervous, as campaigning a DR is not my forte yet. lol

And I have this TR colt I am excited to campaign and learn with. TR is also not my forte. His dam is a Van Dyck mare. He is a Freak/LB.

*Edited to add the DR and TR. I was to quick to hit the enter button.

Every season I think to myself “ooh I have a nice freak in this division, maybe I’ll get a big one finally!” And then I see all the other freaky freaks people are posting and something inside me dies a little lol

Sounds like something is wrong. Here are the possibles issues I have determined might have troubled your horse:
Wrong equipment
Wrong surface
Wrong distance
Wrong career choice
Wrong condition
Tired horse
Bad Jockey
It’s a Friday
Tripped on Shoelace
Or didn’t hear the bell and started when the others were already finished.
