This one was an "A" hypo and is named for LA's beloved puma that we lost late in 2022

Not going to hold my breath on any of them. Let the chips fall where they may. It tends to temper my impending disappointment.

Shameless - Escobar x Diabolical X - This one was a $12.5 million lease. Hoping she takes after her big brother.

Desi - Out of a special Steward-owned filly that I ran.

Owl Be A Loser - Hoping this one doesn't run like her name implies lol

Fingers crosses on this boy, who is an A hypo:

https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1691522

But I'm also hoping this filly turns out nice as well, another A hypo:

The rest I will choose to be pleasantly surprised (or slightly disappointed) with come gallops.

Option A sounds much the best. A for ALL of them.

Best of luck with your nice babies Carolyn. May these do well and you get a few more surprises too.

I'm convinced that showing off my hopefuls will curse them and they'll be bad because of it.

But also I just don't know anymore. I'll breed fancy Steward's Cup-winning leases to division topper studs and get productives and solids. All of my best horses have been unforeseen slidey types out of formids, unpredictables, even no potential mares. So I'm just excited to see what clowns roll up to my circus this year.

I really don't care who, I just would like one or two to sell. I don't think I'm keeping much from this crop (aside from those that are so bad I'll just hide them in the pasture), I have a way too big broodmare band and I have enough stud prospects that I'm satisfied at least one will fill the void from Mark of the Beast, so would be cool to offer a few top notch racing and/or breeding prospects. I had 2 freaks this year, both colts that I kept, so here's hoping maybe we can get another one. Most of my top mares went to unproven, new GP stallions and I took a very different approach to breeding this year focusing on creating diverse bloodlines instead of breeding to the obvious top stallions so this may end quite badly, lol  I hope I knew what I was doing when I booked everyone cause I just scrambled through and finished breeding cause I don't have time to look, really busy week and of course I held off on breeding for whatever reason

I have bred one freak and it was in a tough division and he was adjusted to stakes when the gallops were re-calculated, so I am definitely with you there. I'd get a massive thrill out of literally anything galloping freak. (Or even stakes, none of my yearlings galloped stakes last year.)
