Should this guy retire to stud or run again as a 7 year old?

I can't decide, so let the people choose.

I think he should of retired but you waited to long to make the decision and I don’t think people will have much quality broodmares left and that might lessen his gallops and stats hurting him as a stud unless you have a bunch of nice mares ready to breed to him. I don’t think anyone’s gonna knock him if he runs another year and has mixed results as a 7 year old.

I voted race only because I know a lot of people are done with breeding. If you run him next year advertising it as his last year and then retire right at the end of the year I think he'd get more and better mares.

I also voted to race again. If anything when the year turns over you can check gallop and if he has dropped to something terrible, retire him then. All my mares have been bred, so a stallion retiring right now wouldn't see many decent mares - as has been noted by other players. Maybe he will surprise us and continue to run well at 7!

I think you’ll earn more from stud fees from now till end of next year than he would racing but that’s just a guess (not sure if that’s the reason you want to keep running him or not). Do what makes you happy… you’re the only one who can answer that.
