May I take a moment here to say a hearty and public thank you to Karl Smythe for encouraging me to be patient with my late bloomers. The routers jump was no surprise, but the dirt sprinter was a shock (very pleasantly so!). And with fingers crossed, I pray that they actually run like freaks.

Pleased with the mix of divisions but still craving an AW router. All but 1 are home breds (and that one came from the Kris Bobby foal
Auction), but I didn’t have any steward leases last year so I guess that’s to be expected. Not a lot of foals for sale!

My champion turf miler Bamboleo threw a freak progressive on her third foal(2 first foals are Allowances)

I’m so STOKED!

My other two freaks are Arabian routers. Other than the two freak Arabians, I also had 10 stakes in that breed. About half are LB.

I did have one TB Stakes dirt router that is a LB too as well as a stakes LB Pacer.

Most of the rest of my yearlings are at least allowance. Of course I can’t train my Steeplechase babies to jump yet so I won’t know for awhile.

Flat TBs was pretty good (for me at least):
43 bred with 5 stakes (1 bloomer, 4 progressives) 4 of them are routers though so not sure how good they'll be.

But the best thing: I got this freak late blooming filly! She's a full sister to last year's SC Sprint winner and I'm so happy about her and thankful that I got to lease her mare

I'm just not sure what to call her... I thought about Blaze of Glory or Song to the Siren (like this song from one of my favorite movies).

Edit: Also, I’m pretty impressed with Sottsass’ AW skills (or whatever happened here). Nicely priced, I sent him 15 mares, admittedly not the very best. Out of 6 AW mares he gave me 5 allowance improvers! That's a nice little %. The turfies did not turn out really that well this time…
