If I bet on "The Babe" angle, I now have to bet on 3 horses to WIN. In RL, I would do a 3-horse Exacta Box and bet to WIN only the ones with large WIN odds. Without a tote board of odds, I am uncertain how to make WIN bets in this situation. Does the Sim have Exacta betting on the Derby? If so, can I make a 3-horse Exacta box bet?

I think I will go to my Plan B then and use my Classic ratings instead and guess at the odds.
1. Warder will likely be the favorite
2. Diamond Dopey might be overlooked because of the name of the trainer (I know how good he is but do others?)
3. Lightsong might be overlooked because of the name of the trainer (even though she has won The Derby)
4. Henry will likely be the second betting choice.
5-9. All look like they can win at 1.25 miles.

So I bet $1000 on Diamond Dopey and Lightsong, But I expect it will be a Laura Ferguson trifecta given I abandoned my Plan A.

Lol at Durzo being overlooked cause of his name, he’s one of the best trainers around……and RRH being overlooked based on her name?!?!? I don’t understand that at all! She’s in the Hall of Fame!!! and her trophy case is filled with big races and horses that everyone knows based on their names alone…

I am hiring you as the oddsmaker Jon, I thought my guy had a slim chance but 9/2 is great. I think you don't give your guys enough of a chance honestly. Good luck!

Hey my horse got in! Gotta admit, hard to bet against Warder. But there's time to think about it. I'd definitely be down for a Henry win (my sister's dog is named Henry, love the little guy).

Love it!! Such good hype for the Derby!!

When I make a pick it never has to do with the owner/trainer I solely pick on how the race sets up and what horse can benefit from it best

I got Laura's horse Sport of Kings but I really like Magical aswell, those are some tasty odds too by Jon!!

Anthony Z., Your gold bullion mega-bet just dropped Sport of Kings odds down to 9/5. So, the pace of the race and other factors do not favor the 2 morning line favorites ya say? Interesting. Sport of Kings and Magical both have Laura and my top jockeys up. I had a difficult time deciding which of my 3 horses would use Carlos Gonzales’ talent and experience. It was a coin toss. My third string seldom used jockey, Georgie Wolf, was miffed at the ML odds and vowed to prove the ‘cappers wrong.
