How Do I Turn On/Off Betting?
You must set your birthday in your profile. If you are over 18, you will be able to bet. Betting occurs in SIM Dollars. If you are over 18, Betting is automatically turned on. If you want to turn it off, go to your Profile and select "Don't Allow" by Betting.
When Is Betting Open?
Betting is open for 24 hours leading up to Post Time.
How Do I Bet?
Go to "Races" via the Racing tab or the search page and select today's date if it is a raceday. Stakes races with 5 or more horses are open for win betting. Click on the Bet Slip icon and a betting screen will pop up.
Who Sets the Odds/Payout?
Right now, the players set the odds. All horses start at the same morning line odds, and the horses who are heavily bet become the lower priced favorites, etc. If you are the only person to bet on a horse, say, $100 which is the minimum bet, and the horse wins, you make back $105. The races display the current bet pool at any point in the day, so you can seek out the popular races to bet on. Popular races are also listed on the betting page.
Available Bets
We currently offer win betting on all stakes races with 5 or more horses, a Pick 6 and a Pick 4 on Day 1, 3 and 5, and a Daily Double at each post time. For multi-race bets, you can only submit one ticket, with one horse per race, at this time.
