Player Status

Post by The Steward »

There are three "levels" of players in the SIM.

New Players
A New Player is someone in their first 20 weeks of game play. New players have several benefits, including:

-No day rate charged on horses (normally $5/day/horse)
-The vet costs only $500
-A track of weekly races for New Players only, Trial Park
-New Players cannot breed until their sixth week is completed so that they have time to learn the game's bloodlines

Junior Players
A Junior Player is someone in their 21st - 40th weeks of game play. The benefits of being a Junior Player include:
-The vet costs only $700
-A track of weekly races for Junior Players only, Junior High

Intermediate Players
An intermediate player is someone in their 41st - 199th weeks of game play. The benefits include:
-Races can be made for Intermediate players only

Advanced Players
An advanced player is someone who is in their 200th - 364th week of game play

Veteran Players
A Veteran is anyone who has been playing for over 364 weeks. For a Veteran Player, the Vet costs $1,000.

A person's time in the SIM is measured by number of weeks logged on. If you log in during Week 1 and then again during Week 4, that is only two weeks of playing time. This is done so that if someone goes on vacation they will not miss out on the valuable time during New and Junior Status.

There is known overlap between New Player and Junior Status. If you are eligible to enter in a New Player race, that horse will run regardless of if you switch levels in the interim. As soon as you switch, you will be able to start entering horses in the Junior levels, even if you still have leftover New Player entries.
