Farms
Resting a horse at a farm in between races is the best way to help the horse recover. A horse recovers from a race at a standard rate when stabled at the track, but when visiting a farm, the horse recovers much more quickly.
All farms have different board rates. That rate is taken out at the end of every week (Sunday at 12:01 am Pacific) except during the break. Tracks also have board rates, typically higher than those at the farm.
Farm Amenities
Farms with amenities are even more valuable to a horse owner than those without. For every amenity that the farm has (such as a pool, hotwalker, etc), the farm's rest rate is even faster than a standard farm. With the addition of farm amenities, most horses are able to successfully race 7 times a year without being injured.
