Jockeys/Drivers

Jockeys/Drivers Overview
Jockeys only matter a little bit in the calculation of results. They are the equivalent of whether or not your horse will prevail in a photo finish on the wire.

Your jockey can ride all over the world on any given day, wherever you have your horses entered. He cannot ride two horses in one race, so if you enter a second horse in the same race, you will have to hire another jockey or just use one from the jockey pool.

Asking the Jockey Agent
For 500 game points, you can ask the jockey agent, Duncan McScout, how good of a rider your jockey is. He will say something cryptic about the talent of your jockey - but if the jockey rides like a sack of potatoes you should probably get rid of him or her!

Firing Your Jockey
If your jockey isn't winning you those close finishes or has a bad review from the Jockey Agent, you can fire him or her at any time. I promise it won't hurt their feelings!

Hiring A New Jockey
If you decide to hire a new jockey, just click the Hire a Jockey button on your Jockeys page. For $15,000 you can hire an existing jockey with a record, and for $30,000 you can hire a brand new one with no starts.
"There's no secret to training a good horse. It's a matter of being fortunate enough to get one."
"Funny how you often regret the stuff you didn't do more than the stuff you did do" - GG
