Legendary Eyes and Red Lantern won the All Weather 1000 Guineas and All Weather 2000 Guineas for me last night. They are not only my first two AW Route Grade 1's, but my first Grade ones of any division for this year. It has been a struggle for me this year, but I'm happy that they came through for me. Hopefully, I'll pick up a couple more of them and possibly also a Steward's Cup or two!!!
Congrats Garret, that's an awesome achievement!

What a night of racing!!!

Let's start with the Juvenile races:
Zahariel won the All Weather Debutante with a 100 SF, and setting the record for fastest AW race at 1 1/8 in the process. It is Sire Franzia's (Breed to Franzia, please) first G1 winner and Dam Sire Benjamin had 3 G1 winners on the night giving him 22 different G1 winners which is as many winners as the next highest (Dr. Ghazi) has wins as a Dam Sire. Impressive!!! Congrats to Carolyn Eaton on her 2nd AW Route Grade 1 win and first since Tap On My Shoulder won the All Weather Oaks in Year 54.

Despite not knowing that he had a horse in the Steward's Cup Synthetic Classic, Danny Derby still had a pretty good night. Shocking, I know!!! His two colts finished 1-2 in the All Weather Futurity. Calasmos beat out stablemate Manischewitz by a neck to give sire Longbird his 2nd AWR Grade 1 winner. Did you know that Danny had offered up both of these colts for sale/trade earlier in the year? If only I had something good to offer up!!! Danny now has 3 AWR G1 wins. The other two came from Longbird himself! Congrats Danny.

The Synthetic Classic was won by Bennie and the Jets. It's the 2nd time he's won this race, having done it in Year 57 as well. It's sire No Luck Needed's 5th Grade 1 win. His Dam Sire is Benjamin and we don't need to keep going over how great he is, everybody already knows. This is owner Ronnie Dee's 8th Grade 1 win in AWR, putting him in a tie for 12th all-time with Mike Prevost, Nena Olson, Pepper Carol, Kasie Gillespie and Nicholas Johnson. It is also his 3rd AWR Steward's Cup win. Congrats Ronnie!!!

Astral Magic beat out my horse Red Lantern to win the Steward's Cup Synthetic Marathon by 2 lengths. This was her 3rd win, but first that wasn't the McBride Championship Cup as she won that one in back-to-back years. She has all 3 of sire Sound the Bugle's Grade 1 wins, but I really hope more people start using him. He has some really good numbers and only has 15 foals this year. I've missed using him and will be rectifying that mistake soon. This is Tiyoun Long's 6th AWR Grade 1 and 2nd AWR Steward's Cup. Congrats!!!

Finally, in what was my favorite race from last night (and I said this before the results came in), my filly, Legendary Eyes won the Synthetic Matron. It was her 3rd AW Route G1 win. It is Sire Soft Eyes 4th Grade 1 win and first Steward's Cup win (Breed to Soft Eyes - she's a bargain at $17,500). It is also Dam Sire Choices first Steward's Cup win. For me, it is my 24th AW Route G1 win and 4th Steward's Cup. I want to give a shout out to the rest of the 3YO fillies in this race as I really think it's a special group: Machine Gun Molly (Brian Chunn), Mary Mo (Jamie Bates), Orange Sensation (Robert Mertz), No Riskit No Biskit (Willie Carson), Sound of Fires (Johanna Stk), Mardi Gras Magic (Louise Bayou), The New Premium (Lucas Davenport) and Joyeux Noel (Nicholas Johnson). No disrespect to the older horses, they are all great in their own right, I just really look forward to seeing this fillies continue their career!!!

Thank you for your postings. It really helps me keep track of the AWR division.

Trivia: Bennie and the Jets followed his sire's experience in winning his finale after a 5-week layoff.

My pleasure! I'm really enjoying watching how things have grown and seeing the new people come in and have success as well as long time players starting to dabble in AW.
