Bennie and the Jets

Post by Ronnie Dee »

Bennie and the Jets has retired after winning 16 (and placing twice) in his 18 career starts. He won both the SC Synthetic Classic (twice) and the Pegasus (AW) Route.

His sire, No Luck Needed, won the SC Synthetic Marathon. No Luck Needed has also sired Freak Out who was the All Weather Champion Three Year Old Male in Year 56.

My 2 recently acquired auction mares by Curlin and Candy Ride both received A- grades (same as Longbird). So both now have Bennie yearlings.

Bennie's stud fee is a reasonable (I hope) $25,000.

They weren't my best mares unfortunately (they were already spoken for) but I did send a handful of "formidable" mares and I hope the foals are halfway decent. Been waiting for this guy to retire for a while, so I'll get him better ones next year. :)
