Lifting a curse (small rant)

Post by Brian Leavitt »

I've been trying to get something good going on with all weather horses, but my time in all weather just feels like a series of unfortunate events, perhaps the most egregious being that time I bred a full sister to P.T. Barnum and got a claimer who was a no potential mare. I thought Marowak was going to finally break the curse after being the fastest worker in his class as a yearling, turning freak mid year and having the fastest speed figures in the entire division, only for him to fall to his knees and lose to Vegas Games by a length, a horse he beat by over a length in a 4f barrier trial this year.

So that begs the question, how do I break the curse that is preventing me from having any real success/winning any grade 1 races on all weather? Ritual sacrifice? Prayer? Bribery? Seriously this is by far my biggest current frustration in the sim!

AWS breeding is more random than mixers for me. I just plod through claimers and breed the ones I'm left with until one of those claimers throws a random freak. Rinse and repeat.

There was a baseball movie where this guy was in a big slump and he needed to sleep with a “fat ugly chick” to start hitting the ball again or something like that was how the superstition went. So make s e x. That’s what I got out of this

Joseph, I had a good night yesterday, but it's been a very slow season here. AW has always been unpredictable
