The Hopeless Stakes is back, this time with a trotter and a pacer version thanks to Troy Gallant!

These races are for horses who have 20 or more starts and no wins. If folks enter who don't meet the criteria. Troy or I will contact them to see if they will scratch, but of course I can't force them to. Feel free to send either of us a message in game as a heads up if you spot a non qualified entry.

Very psyched for this year's races. Had two trotters and two pacers all set and ready to enter, but one of my pacers went and won a MSW and knocked himself out of the running. Oh well.

Gigi and I will do our best to retain only maidens in these races, but really hope we don't mess up with any unnecessary dots.

So glad to see this happening again! My own hopeless child won't quite make the NW20 limit (who knows, maybe she'll break her maiden in her 17th start next week) but I'll see if I can rustle one up elsewhere!

I do love this event. Maybe because Pitt the Elder was bred by me. What I really love is that he has 3 siblings that all earned 6 figures, including Horvath who was one of my favorite horses I've owned.

Please remember, these races are intended for standardbred maidens with over 20 starts only. Gigi and I can't "create a race" that is both for maidens and is stakes, so we have to rely on you phine pholks to adhere to the spirit of the competition.

Just a quick note to wish everyone entered in tonight's two races, the best of luck. We ended up with 11 in the Trotter division and 6 in the Pacer race.
