Re: 1 dollar in auction
Only my view Gwen, but taking into account the move from trial park to the big pond, half way through trail park or about 10 wk into the game, people should be thinking about the next step in there journey.
At a guess they will have a collection of sprinters and routers that run on firm.pretty low level at that.
Come the big pond .......the routers will be reduntant except a low claimer with not many entries.
So the next step........sprinters OK can race from day 1 all ages........................what next to race your routers.....not very hopeful of getting any checks there.
Bring on the 3yr old mile /trotters/ pacers can be raced from day 1.
Again only my view ,but new guys start thinking about it now.
Great articles you have put up also Gwen.

Thanks for the suggestion and the compliment, Frank .The Harlequins wrote: ↑3 years ago Only my view Gwen, but taking into account the move from trial park to the big pond, half way through trail park or about 10 wk into the game, people should be thinking about the next step in there journey.
I decided in my first season to specialize in TM and DM. I only have a few sprinters but I have _lots_ of milers and they should do well at JH and out in the world. I also have a handful of dirt/turf routers who are competitive in allowances at the smaller tracks and so will keep earning.
I've done my best to future proof my race string for the big leagues. Also, on the original topic (nice broodmares), I rescued a dirt sprinter mare from AJ earlier tonight and retired her. She nicks B+ to most stallions and is a Star. So not quite a blue hen but still a nice find for 5k and the cost of the BSA.
