and let's all take a moment to remember the inspiration for this race - the eminently beatable Pitt The Elder. I think he is the 'losingest' sim horse in history but we love him.

Pitt the Elder, he's a half brother to not one, but two horses that ended up standing at stud. He will always stand out to me. I'm so glad that you created this race in his honor Gigi!!!

I want to point out that the Hopeless Trotter stakes race was won by one of Pitt the Elder's nephews! South Portland is a horse that I bred and was named after the place that we went to for my bachelor party - South Portland, Maine.

Sounds like hopelessness runs in the family... :P Who knew when I picked him up from you Garret that he would end up being a stakes winner some day? He's been a great return on my $1 investment, thanks a ton for selling him haha. Mister slow and steady has made me very happy, this race is my favorite in the game and it's an honor to win it! Though I think now he will get a new job teaching all the hopeless youngsters in my barn that being terrible can still be pretty great.

Actually, he has two brothers and a sister that were Stakes winners. He had a pretty good family, Horvath ended up being an okay runner and a great stallion. I miss racing them all!!!

I know, just pulling your leg. I do actually like that family a lot, I have a homebred Diablo Intercept daughter who won last night https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1166051 (she has Horvath a couple generations back too, double dose of the family paid off) and another daughter of his just retired hen for me. And Horvath's a neat stud who definitely deserves credit, especially considering his son has a first-crop SC winner! Impact through generations.

I'm glad that they are both still around. I like seeing them have success.
