Nighteyes is the final son of Bibliomania (out of Maryland Million) by the supersire James Dean. He won over everything from 9 furlongs to 2 miles and showed great longevity, having been beaten by a head and a nose in his 3rd place run in the SC Juvenile as a 2yo and still winning races as a 5yo.
