Creating Full Siblings Via Linebreeding?

Post by Lily Wilkins »

Can someone explain to me, in idiot terms, how exactly you create full siblings with line breeding? I have read the little blip about it in the help section dozens of times and still just don't get it.
Links with examples of said full siblings might help me get a better picture of what it looks like too. Thank guys!

Full siblings just have the same parents. For example, Monster and Prankster are full siblings (twins, in fact). If you want to create a full sibling, simply send a mare back to a sire she has already been bred to.

The "Inbreeding" thread in the FAQ section discusses inbreeding to full siblings. For example, if you hypo this mare with this sire, you will see that it is 2x2 to full siblings Monster and Prankster (but it only shows up in the hypomate as a pair of 3x3 inbreeding). Hope this makes sense

Fun times, though, you can get as close to full siblings as possible without them actually being "full" when you send two full sisters to the same sire. I inadvertently did that this past breeding season when I had one already booked to St. Nicholas Day, retired and bred the other to him, then decided to go ahead and send both. Worked out well. I managed a freak and a stakes.
