A Giant Furious Promotion

Post by Cleo Patra »

Dun dun DUNNNNNN

GIANT and OBSIDIAN FURY are joining the ranks of handsome lads in the Dirt and Turf routing studbooks.

And that means it is time to BREED A FREAK aaaaand WIN A HEADSHOT. But wait, there's more! This promotion will happen this year (year 54) and will be held again in year 55. So if you've already bred your pretty things this year, you can still have a chance next year :D

Rules for the Breed a Freak promotion
  • Gallop your yearlings by Giant and Obsidian Fury before week 1 day 1 of year 55 for year 54 foals, or week 1 day 1 of year 56 for year 55 foals. If you breed a freak, you get to chose one of my mares to lease for free.
  • You MUST post your foal's URL in this thread to be eligible to claim the free lease prize. You can just post the link on its own, or wax poetic about your pretty foal.
  • First in best dressed, so if more than one person breeds a freak then the first person to post in this thread to say they got a freak will be the one with the first choice of mares. If a second person breeds a freak, they will also get a choice of the remaining mares. 3rd person and after will get SIM$500,000 instead cause I only have like 30 mares ;p
Rules for the Win a Headshot promotion
  • Breed a stakes winning or producing router mare to either Giant or Obsidian Fury
  • Post your foal's URL in this thread. You get a bonus entry if you also post their hypomate result.
  • There will be one headshot drawn when the year changes over for this season, and then another drawn when the year changes over next season. There is one draw each year, not one draw for each stallion. Cause 4 headshots would be a bit TOO much for me to afford

I’ve always looked forward to your promotions Cleo. I thought I was finished breeding, so this year I need to wait for a few mares to retire to find a nice fit for both of your boys....mmmm....*me impatiently waiting* lol.

Don't forget to post your foal URLs to be in the draw to win :D

Fury's win of the Arc changes his stud fee slightly. Depending on his SC finish, he will be priced somewhere between 35-45k due to the minimum stud fee requirements.

Obsidian Fury should be closer to $50k-60k IMO! He’s got a beautiful pedigree and an incredible race record, I think he’ll be a super sire ;)

I'm guessing Carole was the kid in school that reminded the teacher when they forgot to assign homework.

Quite the opposite  I was the kid who never did their homework but because I was a shy and quiet student I always got away with it, somehow the teachers forgot that I had also forgotten my homework last time and they forgave me :)

Mike, she’s making up for it, lol! Thankfully Cleo does not tend to overprice her stallions. Kudos Cleo!

Thanks for the heads up Nick!
I guess I missed an important part of the instructions.

This is my freak-to-be colt bred from an A- nick.

I keep my fingers crossed. (the swedish expression is "I hold the thumbs")

Don't let them get you down Carole, because I was about to post the exact same thing until you did!

I put him slightly lower because he’s got all that Two Toned and Sidney blood which makes him related to every freakin thing. Gotta try and rope in those hot mares that aren’t his sisters ;p

Oh wow, this looks amazing. I don't think I have anything that would be worth sending, but I'll take a look later on. Also, kudos for not using scary big font in chat to promote :D much appreciated.
