Breeding vibes....

Could i ask you older players of the game....older meaning long term players.

I have spent most of this season breeding from wk 2 till now breeding and spending on hypos happly ploding along 2 or 3 each week blue hen hitting A+ to everything but the stable cat.

Come the end of the season.....built a few bob, lets hit the big guys.........nothing on the nicks to shout about, leased horses feel like your house as been broken into, and retired horses of your own just want a bit of peace and quite thank you.

Have you guys had more success with early breeding in your own opioion than later breeding

Never noticed one way or the other because realistically it doesn’t matter. The only thing about early breeding is that you miss out on freshly retiring sires that might end up going up in price the next season.

Frank, I like to breed throughout the year too. It’s less financially scary haha

I procrastinate, then pull an all-nighter when foals are due first thing the next morning. I say it's because, like Pete, I want to wait for the W16 retirees.

I'd probably do better breeding early, if for no other reason than I'd put more thought into it. But I have a hard enough time training and entering everything that I don't have time for breeding on top of it (the current - COVID - year excepted).

It's best to breed as soon as the year turns over. If you wait, the Steward breeds her mares and then the allocation of freaks is used up for the rest of the year.
