Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
I was editing my post adding one horse at a time, but they are all there now.
The quartet of my Turf Route stallions are: Gray, Grey Street, Quieter Time and Lights Down. Which one will you be using? jX

Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
I think quieter time is the nicer of the 4 but I can’t argue against gray since he has 2 hot sons running right now. Lease me 2 mares for free and I’ll send one to each?
;p
Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
For me, it's Lights Down who has the most potential. Time will tell. I'm sorry you do not have any nice Turf Route mares to experiment with. jXAndrew Davidson wrote: ↑3 years ago I think quieter time is the nicer of the 4 but I can’t argue against gray since he has 2 hot sons running right now. Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
sadly too late - as a 15 year old, his clock is ticking and .... he was not worthy.... and he was an awful sire.... and he was never Steward Approved back when there was such a thing..... HA! poor Grey Street - - - all his colors mixed together, G R E Y ! jX

Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
I used all four. : )
All but one mare came from my Foremost line of fillies.
Grey Street
Colt, un-named: Grey Street x A Shade
Filly, un-named: Grey Street x Sargacity
Gray
Last Year, I got this guy: Gray Ghost
Filly, un-named: Gray x Disheartening
Colt, un-named: Gray x Get Here Now
Quieter Time
Filly, un-named: Quieter Time x Be Back Later The dam, isn't from my Foremost line, but I loved her sire, Betrayer...he Loved long romps over the turf. Keep hoping to insert some of that tendency into my Foremost line, as they are usually more comfortable at 1 1/8 on up to 1 1/4 mile. Hoping this filly will be a good broodmare prospect for later on and be sent to Mal, who's show he can cover longer distances.
Colt, un-named: Quieter Time x Faded Memories
Lights Down
Colt, un-named Lights Down x I'm So Fortunate
I hope that in a near future all of them will be on the track earning purse money and later on, improving my turf router lines.

EDITED: a couple of colts were listed as fillies.

I'm glad I got a few stake type - kind of sad each are already at peak...but I've had some peak horses run well for 2 or 3 years past their peak, and it looks like I have a few allowance types.
Glad too that the productive and all the claimer types are late bloomers! I have had several late bloomer claimers turn into really nice runners. I am pretty confident that all of the foals are going to do well on the track and more than earn back their stud fee and their yearly upkeep...and make me a nice profit.

Re: My Quartet of Turf Route Stallions
I bred a nice allowance mare to him this morning, she's produced 2 stakes horses...so I have hopes the resulting filly will be a nice one.
un-named filly
He seems to do well with broodmares by Itoko, so I hope that will get me 3 stakes foals from that mare. : )
And...he's at a nice stud fee.

Re: Turf Route Stallions
Quieter Time, my first and only Arc winner, was pensioned 8-28-2021. Thanks to all who used Quieter Time. It was fun while it lasted. The world is a quieter place. jX
